A virtual  session on rights for girls  was conducted by UNICEF Bhopal in which around 30 members of balika panchyat bhagwanpura were present. In this session the girl member of balika panchayat expressed their views and opinions on the challenges faced by girls during school , college studies studies. The girls mentioned that in rural areas due to othodox thinking and societal judgements nmany people donot send their daughters to school or college and thus deparive them of their rights to education. The balika panchayat member has pleadged that they create more awareness on this in their village through counselling and nukkad nataks. They will also meet the village leader and heads of village as Sarpach, Sachiv and dicuss with them about importance of girl education and will also request them to create the awareness on the same in near by villages. The balika panchayat will also meet the parents of school dropout girls and will persuade them to continue the studies of their daughters. The UNICEF represntatives also encouraged and  supported the initiatives of balika panchyat in protecting the rights of the girls.
